Meet Bent Johnsen

“To achieve growth or value creation, the strategy must be easy to understand and generate energy and a sense of success throughout the organization.”

Bent has extensive international management experience within both large groups and smaller companies. He has lived and worked half his career in different countries, and has a broad international cultural and business perspective.

Bent has a strong commercial profile with a strategic approach and has experience as Group President, CEO and Country Director. He has extensive experience in reading organizations and their competencies, strengths and weaknesses, as well as developing strategies that can actually be executed. In Bent's eyes, a strategy should not be long and convoluted, but set out a direction in a form that makes sense to everyone in the company.

Over the years, he has worked with the entire value chain, especially in life science and in the service/advisory industry, with everything from general management to the development and implementation of new growth strategies, organizational development and adaptation, business development, as well as M&A and capital raising. Through various management roles, Bent has insight into the opportunities and challenges that exist in different types of companies ranging from publicly traded as well as privately held companies, owner-led companies, partnerships, as well as in venture and private equity owned companies.

Among Bent's many competencies is also experience in the establishment (and sale) of companies. Today he is also an investor in smaller companies and is active via their boards and has experience as chairman of the board.

It was not so long ago that Bent returned from Berlin and he now lives with his family in Vedbæk. Leisure time is preferably spent in the cottage in Ebeltoft combined with trips abroad. And so he has a penchant for riding offroad motorcycles or mountain biking and appreciates maintaining house and garden and generally just being out in nature.
