Meet Anders Bang Olsen

Anders has a background as a civil engineer and has for many years run and grown his own consulting engineering business within the construction industry towards a sale to a capital fund. He thus has extensive experience of the many considerations and emotions that such sales and generational change entail. Anders remains active on the company's board of directors.

In addition, he has been both founder, co-founder and active investor in a number of startups. These companies are still active and growing, representing diverse industries. The common driving force behind these companies — despite their diversity — is the desire to tackle both old and new challenges in new ways through digitalisation and innovative business models. Anders works to turn challenges into commercial opportunities that can improve today's solutions and create value for the future. This includes developing tools and business models that support processes and documentation, for example, within ESG.

Anders' strength lies particularly in his broad business understanding, coupled with a strong interest in engineering, innovation and IT, which stems from his engineering background. He is adept at turning problems into new opportunities and creating solutions that hit the bottom line, strengthen competitiveness and take into account the emotions and rationales that often characterize owner-led businesses.

In addition to active board work in his own companies, Anders also has experience as an external board member in both larger and smaller companies. He creates value both as a board member or on Advisory Boards. He prefers relationships where he likes to act as a trusted advisor over a long period of time and thus can also get close to the people behind.

Anders lives on a farm in Stavnsholt near Farum, where he does organic farming and keeps horses. Privately, he is married, has three older children as well as a bonus-son.
